In a Female dominated industry like the beauty industry, there are some men that have found a way to create a niche for themselves and are slaying at it, creating a path for themselves and those to come after them, Especially in a country like Nigeria where “Man and Makeup” are not  two words people would often want to hear together, this men are bold enough to to break the status quo and are creating their own rules and terms. Here are 5 male makeup artists that are currently killing it in the Nigeria Beauty Industry and serving as a source of inspiration at large. 

1. JIDE OF STOLA

Not only did he create a perfect niche for himself in both the bridal and creative sector with his avant garde beauty looks, He as well built his brand to becoming a standard international recognised pro mua. He is a celebrity makeup artist and has a fan base not only for his skills but his warm personality. Here are some of my favourite looks created by @jideofstola.

2. CASSKONCEPT

His works are unique has he has found a way to fuss Art into Makeup, by making faces his canvas which people find impressive and eye pleasing. He dominates the creative world as a beauty artist with his magazine and runway looks. When he is not painting on a face, he also takes his time to create  beauty paintings on canvas. Here are some of my favourite looks from @casskoncept.

3. KIM BEAUTY STUDIO

He is well known for his signature cat-eyes and graphic liners. He has found a way to distinct himself from the pool of makeup artists in Lagos by giving his beauty looks an especial spice to it. He also featured on my Top 10 makeup looks for 2021 and here are some other looks he has created that I love as well

4. PHABULOUS MAKEUP ARTISTRY

Taught by one of the best mua’s in the industry “@bregha”, Phabulous has done pretty well to pave a way for himself in the beauty industry as he is well known in the creative/entertainment industry for his gorgeous beauty looks and as well production sets. 5. BEAUTY BY ANYII

A popular MUA in the south-east, ANAMBRA state, he is well known for his beautiful works on white and traditional brides. He also trains students who are ready to dive into the art of makeup as he is known as one of the best male makeup educator in the south.
