This Is Why Your MakeUp Never Lasts- ULTIMATE GUIDE
I’m sure you have heard to use a good primer and moisturizer several times but no one gives you a detailed tip. Here are 6 reasons why your makeup never last long enough.
Do you have the mentality of “because I use a good primer then I shouldn’t sweat” please scratch that out of your mind ASAP. Using a good primer does not block your pores totally it only helps tighten it , Read more about functions of a primer in my previous post What you should know about these products . So basically the primer is meant to prevent your sweat from ruining your makeup and reduce sweat, But definitely not make it magically disappear. Now I am talking about those with really oily skins and sweaty T-zones. If you have a dry skin you probably wouldn’t even sweat at all because you don’t really sweat on a norms.
1. Using Fake products - First question you should ask yourself is if you are using an original product or a copy. I’m not saying all copy’s are bad but a good copy product is usually rare. Stop being stingy with yourself girl. Get that original high quality foundation, primer and others. It would be worth it trust me. Then ask if you’r using the products that match your skin type. Read more about skin types in previous post “Skin types and products”
2. Clean and moisturize - Before applying any product on your face you should prep your skin by using a good face cleanser and then proceed to moisturize your skin properly. Allow that sit in before you proceed.
3. Prime - It’s sad to know that in this present age and time a lot of people do not prime before applying foundation. Use the right primer that is convenient for your skin texture. If you’re using a primer that does not match your skin texture then you shouldn’t be expecting results from it. I talked about skin textures and primer in previous post Primer, Moisturiser and Setting spray . Make sure you blend your primer into your skin and give it like some seconds to sit in.
5. Blend foundation and set powder - Another question you should be asking yourself is if you are blending your foundation right. Getting a good foundation is one thing and taking your time to blend it into your skin is another ball game entirely, try using a good blending brush or beauty blender and let’s not forget to wet our beauty blender before use. If you need to build up your foundation then build it up. Do you bake your skin well with powder? Try using a loose powder to brush on your skin before baking, it works like magic. I also heard using powder on your face before foundation works for a long lasting makeup. Remember you don’t rub your foundation but you pat your foundation on your skin. Know this and know peace.
6. Setting spray - Not only does a setting spray give your makeup a long lasting effect , it also sets the makeup and gives it a nice finishing. You can never do no wrong with a good quality setting spray๐. And try not to be this kid here๐
